2023 Veterans Day Program

ANNUAL VETERANS DAY CEREMONY

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2023

Join us for our Annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Walk of Heroes Veterans War Memorial.

The ceremony will begin at the main stage at 11:00 a.m.

Brigadier General Steve Blanton (Retired) will be our Keynote Speaker. BG Blanton began his career in the military as an Army aviator and served in Vietnam. The courageous young chopper pilot in Vietnam joined the National Guard after a 9-year break from the military. He retired from the Guard in 2008 with the rank of Brigadier General.

All are invited. The event is free to the public.

Although the park is closed for the national holiday, it will open specifically for the event.

In case of rain, the backup site for the Veterans Day program will be the First Baptist Church in Conyers. The church is located at 2100 Hwy 138E.

The decision to move the event will not be made until Saturday morning. You are requested to come to the memorial as planned.

In the event of a change, someone will be stationed at the memorial to hand out a map and notify attendees of the change of venue.
