2025 Veterans Day Program
Annual Veterans Day Ceremony & 25th Anniversary Celebration
Tuesday, November 11, 2025
at the Main Stage of Walk of Heroes Veterans Memorial Park
at 11:00 a.m.
Join us for our annual Veterans Day program. Our Keynote Speaker will be Brigadier General Tommy B. Britt, Director, Joint Staff, Georgia Joint Force Headquarters at the Georgia National Guard.
This year is also our 25th Anniversary so come celebrate with us!
We will begin the program promptly at 11 a.m. at the main stage. We will be running golf carts from the parking area to the main stage continuously until the program begins and once it ends to assist transporting people during our event.
Everyone is invited to this free, public event. Please note, the park is located inside of Black Shoals Park and is closed on the Memorial Day Holiday. We have arranged to open the park specifically for our ceremony.

BRIGADIER GENERAL TIMOTHY B. BRITT
Director, Joint Staff, Georgia Joint Force Headquarters
Brigadier General Timothy B. Britt serves as Director, Joint Staff of the Georgia National Guard. He reports directly to the Adjutant General of Georgia with responsibility for directing the Joint Staff and acting as Joint Task Force Commander during mobilizations for Defense Support to Civil Authorities within the state. General Britt’s military career began in May 1983 when he was commissioned Second Lieutenant, Military Police branch, through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at North Georgia College. General Britt entered the Georgia Army National Guard in May, 1987. His latest assignment prior to his current position as the Director, Joint Staff was a deployment; September 2008 to July 2009, as the Deputy Commander, Combined Joint Task Force ‘ Phoenix VIII, with the 33rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Illinois Army National Guard, to Kabul, Afghanistan.
