CONYERS — Law enforcement officers in the community will be honored at a public rally Saturday at First Baptist Church of Conyers.
The event, organized by the Walk of Heroes board of directors, is designed to show support for men and woman who serve as “first responders” in the Conyers Police Department, the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia State Patrol.
Tommy Clack, who spearheaded efforts to hold the rally, said recent anti-police incidents prompted him to push for the event.
